Many people familiar with science fiction will have heard of Warhammer 40,000, a tabletop wargame created by Games Workshop which features a universe so rich and deep, it's expanded into its own series of novels, video games, to their foul and unholy ways, resulting in a series of events known as the Horus Heresy, where many of the Primarchs and their associated chapters of Marines betrayed the Emperor and became something entirely less than human. The cast works quite well as Greg is a Horus Heresy nimrod while Dave knows nothing about the Heresy other than what he reads in the books. Anthologies are hardback, unsigned 128 pages long, with a lower production value and all contain six short stories from Warhammer and 40k almost always including a Horus Heresy and a Time of Legends short story. July 6th, 2010 by Serguei Alleko, Tags: Books, Warhammer 40K The first novels in the series (I think) are talking about the beginning of the major good-versus-evil conflict - Horus Rising. First, the Horus Heresy is a series of sci-fi novels set in the world of the war-game Warhammer 40.000, a setting created by Games Workshop and its publishing house, Black Library.
